We made it to the end of days 2012 Mayan Calendar. Now what? you may ask.  I believe that we always get to choose this moment to create "What Now", and move from this place with confidence. 

Our children feel the tides changing and I imagine they may be afraid of what this all means.  Our media has given so much attention to 2012 and it seems to be talked about everywhere that we can't escape it.

During any time of transition, I believe the best thing we can do for our children is to reassure them that they are safe and that we are here to make sure of it for them.  I check in with my children daily to see how they are feeling, and if I can listen to them.  Most often they say "yes" and I put on my attentive ears and away they go into full expression.

These are the most sacred moments for me in my life.  I love to hear my children speak of their feelings and how they impact their lives. I love to hear their questions to life's problems.  I become willing to surrender my whole self into the moment and not pretend like I know everything.  I often let them know I don't know, but I am here for them and I can try to find out for them. 

One thing to remind yourself of is that if you are feeling afraid, so are they.  Give them hugs, reassurance, and spend more cuddle time with them no matter how old they may be.  Even our 13 year old son loves to cuddle still.  This I believe is because we are available to him and his feelings.

2012 is a brand new opportunity to create a magical family full of light and bliss and adventure.  I wish you all that and so much more.
