Why do I need Individual Training and/or Mentoring?

The Principles and Practices taught by ChildShift are easy to learn, but we've found that the real challenge comes in applying them in our daily lives.

The African proverb says "It takes a village to raise a child". We'd like to invite you into our virtual village and let us support you in truly integrating these principles in your daily life, so you can fully realize our promise to you of greater connection with your children.

Working with you individually or as a family allows us and our personally trained and certified Parent Mentors to tailor the training and support to your specific needs, working with you on the challenges and situations you face on a day-to-day basis.

Methods and Rates:

One-on-one training and mentoring is available by appointment. Fees are typically $150/hr, but scholarships are available on a sliding scale based on income and your needs.

While in-person is available, we've found that telephone or virtual meeting software (e.g. Skype) is just as effective in supporting you with your ongoing needs, and is often preferable given the frequently hectic schedules faced by parents / teachers and caregivers! That way, we can easily work around your schedule and you don't have to worry about arranging child care or travel time/cost.
